Career Change When Living With Chronic Illness

 

  Living with chronic health challenges can mean that your current work path is no longer a good choice. Illness, however, can leave you feeling afraid of change and more vulnerable than you thought possible. Does this sound like you?

  There is another option! You can take charge by creating a career path that will lead to a satisfying and enduring work life. This unique program is designed specifically for people with a solid work history and chronic health problems who want to make a career change. With my support and guidance, you will achieve the insight, skills and resilience that you need to thrive in your work.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

This program offers both specificity and flexibility. It is created as three distinct tracks. You can choose to do a single track or all three tracks in sequence.

TRACK 1

Goal: To create a psycho, social, mental and physical heath/career profile that gives you the information and skills you need to increase your resilience, create reliable plans and make effective decisions.

Desired Outcomes

1. You will develop your capacity to identify your current capabilities regarding your health, your skills and your talents.

2. You will develop your capacity to identify your values, needs, and priorities regarding a job and/or career.

3. You will develop your capacity to identify the barriers, challenges and areas of success that you have achieved thus far and use this information to shape your future possibilities.

Estimated Duration: 3 months

TRACK 2

Goal: To develop your capacity to expand your thinking and behave in new ways that allow and encourage you to increase your potential.

Desired Outcomes

1. You will develop your capacity to use brainstorming and networking in exploring what you want to do and are able to do at this point in time.

2. You will develop your capacity to talk about yourself and ask questions that improve your chances for success.

3. You will develop your capacity to make effective job choices based on your skills, wants/needs and capabilities.

Estimated Duration: 3 months

TRACK 3

Goal: To develop and test a clearly defined action plan that encourages your flexibility and resilience and allows you to make changes with confidence. Desired Outcomes

1. You will develop your capacity to explore and follow through on your ideas.

2. You will will develop your competence in developing and using an action plan.

3. You will develop your capacity and competence to assess opportunities, make decisions based on your information and continue to stay motivated throughout

4. You will develop the competence to work with a short and long term job plan.

Estimated Duration: 3 months, depending on the time you can devote to this.

PROGRAM OPTIONS AND FEES

This program is designed to fit your time needs and your budget requirements. Once you email me with your interest, I will send you a Self Assessment Form to fill out. This will be followed by a FREE 30 minute call to decide the TRACK and PLAN that is best for you. Choose from one of the following two plans:

THE BASIC PLAN

What you get:

greencheckA clearly paced sequence of instruction, reading and exploration that encourage you to think differently about your career and your life.

greencheckPhone meetings that allow you to reserve your energy and time and maximize our efficiency.

greencheckOn-going email support and brief phone calls as needed between scheduled meeting calls.

greencheckThe guidance that you need to make a difficult change at this point in your life.

This includes:

greencheckSix, one hour calls over 3 months.

greencheckOn-going email support and brief phone calls between scheduled sessions.

greencheckMy workbook, other assessments/worksheets and resource lists

Fee: $600 per series – paid prior to start of each series. It can be paid in two installments.

OR

THE KICKBUTT PLAN

What you get:

greencheckA clearly paced sequence of instruction, reading and exploration that encourage you to think differently about your career and your life .

greencheckPhone meetings that allow you to reserve your energy and time and maximize our efficiency.

greencheckOn-going email support and brief phone calls as needed between scheduled meeting calls.

greencheckAn intensive level of guidance and support tailored to your needs that helps you stay motivated and maintain a high level of commitment to the goal.

This includes:

greencheckSix, one hour calls over 3 months.

greencheckOn-going email support and phone calls as needed.

greencheckMy workbook, other assessments/worksheets and resource lists

greencheck*Frequent email status updates between us (business days only).*

greencheck*Two books that we will select together to support your learning.*

greencheck*An email following each coaching call with call highlights and a description of the homework that we designed to support your learning.*

 

*Refers to items that are not offered in the Basic Plan*. Fee: $750 per series – paid prior to start of each. It can be paid in two installments (contact Rosalind to discuss).
