Even if illness is unpredictable you can still plan

Are you wondering/worrying/even obsessing about your job because  of  unpredictable chronic illness?  Or maybe you’re just ignoring illness symptoms and hoping it will all go away.

Either way, you’re spending too much time not doing what you should be doing. Which is making concrete plans for your career keeping your illness in mind but not letting it be the problem.  This week I was a guest writer on the well know CareerRealism blog and wrote about “3 Steps to Illness-Proof Your Career“. The 3 steps?

  1. Take a good hard look at your current career path.
  2. Develop the strategies that will take health into consideration.
  3. Consider alternative career plans.
